According to Vygotsky, societal expectation for genders, if enforced since early age, will be very likely to make the children grow up exactly leaning towards that expectation .For example, if you teach your daughter that become subservient is the only way for female to go in this world, that daughter will be very likely to grow up adopting this very same thinking.
