1) you subtract 4x from the left side of the equation give you the expression: 6y= -4x+12
2)then you divide the right side by 6 resulting in the simplified: y= -4/6x+2
3) simplify the coefficient of x resulting in the answer of y= -2/3x+2

To solve, you do reverse order of operations so SADMEG
4x+6y=12
Subtract 4x from both sides to get
6y=-4x+12
Divide both sides by 6 to isolate y
y= -2/3x+2
Above is your answer
Hope this helped!
