Well, if it is $2.00 for 4 pounds, you have to divide to find how much for one pound.
$2.00 divided by 4 pounds = 50 cents per pound

for one pound, it will be $2.00 divided by $4, which is $0.50, so for one pound of a apple, it will be $0.50.
