6x-3=11 how do I solve this?

6x-3=11
+3 +3

6x=14
÷6 ÷6

x=2.

Add 3 on each side to get rid of the -3
so its 6x=14
divide each side by 6 to isolate the x by itself
x=14/6 simplify it down
x=2 1/3
