Look at the graph below measuring the speed of a truck and answer the following 2 questions:

a) If the graph represents speed, what is measured on the x and y-axes? You need to specifically identify which axis is which.

b) Based on what the y-axis measures, explain the motion of the truck represented by the graph from point 2 to 6.

A.The y axis would be distance and the x axis would be time

B. the truck stopped some where so time keeps going and distance is the same

The graph shows the speed of a truck. According the definition for speed "Speed is distance traveled per unit of time":
A. The y axis represents the distance, while the x axis represents the time.
B. We can see from the graph that from point 2 to point 6 the line is straight.
Because axis y shows the distance the truck past, this means that the truck stopped and from time point 2 to time point 6 it hasn 't moved.
