Let

x--------> the number

we know that

1) the phrase, "the sum of 14 and a number"

represent the expression -------->
(14+x)

and

2) the complete phrase, "one fifth the sum of 14 and a number"

represent the expression -------->
(1)/(5)(14+x)

therefore

the answer is


(1)/(5)(14+x)
