(z+6)/3=(2z)/4
(z+6)/3=(2(z))/(2(2))
(z+6)/3=(z)/2
2(z+6)=3(z)
2z+12=3z
12=3z-2z
12=z

(z + 6) / 3 = 2z / 4
this is a proportion, so we cross multiply
(3)(2z) = 4(z + 6)
6z = 4z + 24
6z - 4z = 24
2z = 24
z = 24/2
z = 12 <==
