When you're auscultating the heart and you want to osculate on the left side, there are 3 different valves you can hear.
The first is the Pulmonary valve at the 2nd intercostal space
the next is the Tricuspid valve at the 4 intercostal space, right by the sternum.
The final is the Mitral valve at the 5th intercostal space, 1cm medially to the midclavicular line.
