start switch x and y, then solve for x
x = 4y
x/4 = y - this is the inverse

Answer:

Inverse of f(x) is:

x/4

Explanation:

we find the inverse of f(x) by putting f(x)=y

Then, the value of x(in terms of x i.e. replacing y by x) is the inverse of f(x)

Putting f(x)=y

⇒ 4x=y

⇒ x=y/4

Replacing y by x, we get inverse=x/4

Hence, inverse of f(x) is:

x/4
