As the price of corn raises the amount charged increases by .34

In other words a linear equation can be used.
y=.33x where x is the amount of corn and y is the the total cost in dollars.

Answer:

A store sells 3 ears of corn for $1 they round prices to the nearest cent.

Ears of corn: 1 2 3 4

Amount charged: 0.33 0.67 1.00 1.34

1 ear of corn for $0.33

2 ears of corn for =
0.33*2=0.66 rounded to $0.67.

3 ears of corn for =
0.33*3=0.99 rounded to $1.

The answer will be:

Yes; the relationship between cost and number of ears of corn is proportional.

Even though the rates in the table are not constant per ear of corn, but there is a constant rate for every 3 ears of corn.
