An elevator is two floors below ground level and goes up 5 floors. Write an addition equation that models the location of the elevator relative to ground level. What integer represents the new location?

Answer: Equation is -2 + 5 = 3

Explanation:

If the ground level starts below two floor than it would be -2

than if the floor go up by 5 floor it would be a positive 5

And if you add -2 by 5 you would get positive 3

It’s simple and now all you need to do is make it a equation

So -2 + 5 = 3

Because equation basically expression with equal signs
