if the length of a rectangle is 2km less then 3times the width and the perimeter is 68 what is the length

Answer:

The length is 25km.

The width is 9km.

Explanation:

Solve for length.

L = 3W -2

L = 3*9 - 2

L = 27 - 2

L = 25 km

-------------------------------------------------------------

Solve for Width

68 = 2L + 2W

68 = 2(3W-2) + 2W

68 = 6W - 4 + 2W

68 = 8W - 4

72 = 8W

9 km = W
