This is pretty simple. Since there are 19.8 gallons and every gallon is 3.65$, you multiply 19.8 by 3.65 to get $72.27. It will cost 72.27$ to fill up the tank.

72.27 :) is the answer because you multiply the amount of gas it need to fill the tank (19.8) by the cost of each gallon (3.65) so you multiply 19.8 x 3.65, which equals 72.27 which is how much will he need to pay.
