When milk spoils and turns yellow–white, is this a chemical or physical change?

I believe the correct answer is the latter choice. When the milk spoils and turn to yellow-white, it shows a chemical change. A chemical change is a change where new substances are being formed after a process.   When the milk is spoiling, the sugar in milk, lactose, is turned into lactic acid.
