His current age now = x
and after 10 years, it will be triple of now >> x+10 = 3x
solve for x
x+10 = 3x
x-x+10 = 3x-x
10 = 2x
5=x
so he is
5 years
old now

He has to be 5 since 5×3=15 and each year he turns one year older so yea
