9x^3 + 18x^2 -4x -8
Split the equation into 9x^3 + 18x^2 and -4x -8, then factor
9x^2 (x + 2) -4(x + 2)
So the factors are (9x^2 - 4) and (x + 2)
So X is either equal to -2 or +/- 2/3

9x^3 - 4x = -18x^2 + 8
9x^3 + 18x^2 - 4x- 8 = 0
9x^2(x +2 )- 4(x + 2) = 0
(x+2)(9x^2 - 4) = 0
(x + 2)(3x + 2)(3x - 2) = 0
x + 2 = 0; x = -2
3x + 2 = 0; x = -2/3
3x - 2 = 0; x = 2/3
