To solve equations, all we must do is isolate the variable and simplify. In this case, we need to get rid of the "/7" because it i with our "e." To do this, we should do the reverse operation of "/7" on both sides, and them simplify.

-5=e/7
*7 *7
-35=e

Using the math above, we can see that e=-35.

If we're solving for "e" than follow these steps (if you want to)

Problem: -5 = (e)/(7)

Step^1: go through all of the factors of
5 or
7 to find your answer (you don't have to do this step if you don't want to)

7(-1)= -7 \\ 7(-2) = -14 \\ 7(-3)= -21 \\ 7(-4) = -28\\ 7(-5)= -35 \\ \\ OR \\ \\ (7)/(-1) = -7 \\ (-14)/(7) = -2 \\ (-21)/(7) = -3 \\ (-28)/(7) = -4\\ (-35)/(7) = -5

Answer:

e = -35

Good luck on your assignment and have great day
