How does the moon manipulate the tides on the earth

Tide is the rise and fall of water caused by gravitational forces of the moon and sun on the oceans of the earth. Tidal cycles contain two high tides and two low tides each day, and this happens because of the gravitational pull that the moon has on Earth's water.
