The answer for this question would be alcohol.
Alcohol can provide energy or calorie since it has a high amount of carbohydrates. Alcohol can give up to 9 calorie/gram and it was comparable with fat. But alcohol doesn't give other kinds useful molecule to sustain life so you still need other kinds of food even though your calorie needs can be fulfilled.
