Hi!

The word outwards is simply just going to describe the process of going from an interior (inside) scene to an exterior (outside) scene.

Think of it almost as if someone is walking out the door to their house. They are leaving an interior and going out into an exterior.

Also, look at the word itself. We have 'out' and then 'wards'. We are going
-->out<--wards. It actually tells you exactly what the word means! =)
