How do i know if a number is prime or composite?

Answer:

If a number has 2 factors, it's prime.

If it has 3 or more, it's composite.

A prime number is an integer that can only be divided by one, or itself; some example of prime numbers include 5, 7, 11, and 13. A composite number is an integer that can be divided other than one and itself; some examples of composite numbers are 16, 18, 20, 21, 22, 24, 25, 26.
