assuming you want us to simplify

remember
negative times negative=positive
and
remember the distributive proeprty
a(b+c)=ab+ac
and
-a(b+c)=-ab-ac
oh, and order of operations

so

-4(4/3v-4)-3(1/2v-4)
distribute
-4(-4/3v-4)=-4(-4/3v)-4(-4)=16/3v+16
-3(1/2v-4)=-3(1/2v)-3(-4)=-3/2v+12

so we now gots
16/3v+16-3/2v+12
group like terms
16/3v-3/2v+16+12
combine like terms
first the v terms
16/3v-3/2v=32/6v-9/6v=23/6v

then the constants
16+12=28

so we gets
23/6v+28 is the simlified form

(1)/(2) = 0.5 \\ (4(2))/(2) = (8)/(2) = 4 \\ (v - 8)/(2) \\ (3(v - 8))/(2) \\ (4)/(3) = 1.3 \\ (4(3))/(3) = (12)/(3) = 4 \\ (-4(v) - 12)/(3) \\ Answer: (23v + 168)/(6)
