y=-3x+36 because the line crosses the y axis at 36

Answer:

y=-3x +36

Explanation:

Hello

according to the graph shown we have a line that passes through several known points, take two of them

P1(0,36) and P2(12,0)

with these two points we can find the slope

s=(y2-y1)/(x2-x1) \\s=(0-36)/(12-0)\\s=(-36)/(12)\\ s=-3

Now, with the slope and a point ( P1) we can find the equation

y-y_(0) = s(x -x_(0) )\\y-36 = -3( x -0 )\\y= -3x +0+36\\<strong>y=-3x + 36</strong>

Have a great day
