First find the slope by finding the change in y/change in x.
(2-3)/(2-4)
-1/-2
1/2

Now plug in one set of x and y values with the known slope to find the y intercept.
3= (1/2)(4)+b
3= 2+b
b=1

Final answer: y= 1/2x+1
