-5x-y =-7

Simplifying -5x + -1y = -7

Solving -5x + -1y = -7

Solving for variable 'x'.

Move all terms containing x to the left, all other terms to the right. Add 'y' to each side of the equation. -5x + -1y + y = -7 + y

Combine like terms: -1y + y = 0 -5x + 0 = -7 + y -5x = -7 + y

Divide each side by '-5'. x = 1.4 + -0.2y

Simplifying x = 1.4 + -0.2y

-6x+y=7

Simplifying -6x + y = 7

Solving -6x + y = 7

Solving for variable 'x'.

Move all terms containing x to the left, all other terms to the right.

Add '-1y' to each side of the equation. -6x + y + -1y = 7 + -1y

Combine like terms: y + -1y = 0 -6x + 0 = 7 + -1y -6x = 7 + -1y

Divide each side by '-6'. x = -1.166666667 + 0.1666666667y

Simplifying x = -1.166666667 + 0.1666666667y
