All we have to do is solve for one of the square faces.
Area = (side)^2
=5^2
25 ft^2
There are 6 sides on a cube, so we multiply by 6
25*6 =
150 ft^2

a cube has 6 square faces
each face is a square, the area of each is side²
so the surface area of a cube is 6s² where is the length of each side or edge
given that each edge is 5ft
SA=6(5)²
SA=6(25)
SA=150 ft²
the surface area is 150 ft²
