-1/3 = -5/15
-2/5 = -6/15

-5/15 > -6/15, so -1/3 > - 2/5

Answer:

The answer is -1/3 > -2/5.

Step-by-step explanation:

First, you can rewrite both numbers to simplify the comparison.

  • -1/3 ≅ -0.33
  • -2/5 ≅ -0.40

Now, you can write a number line and insert both numbers into it.

The negative number most furthest from 0 is the smallest number.

So, in this case, -0.33 > -0.40 → -1/3 > -2/5

Insert <, > or = to make the sentence true. -1/3 -2/5 I believe it should be-example-1
