-5 (x + 2) = 0

Steps ↓


Step^1: Fix the problem:
-5(x) + -5(2) = 0


Step^2: -5(2) = 10 To get that we have to multiply
-5 by
2



Step^3: change your symbols(addition to subtraction) →
5x - 10 =0


Step^4: Let's
divide ( ÷ ) by a negative 5
(-5)

(-5x)/(-5) &
(10)/(-5)

(-5x)/(5) = -x \\ \\ (10)/(-5) = -2
