So why is mr. g's mitral regurgitation causing a systolic murmur? remember, a murmur is caused by abnormal turbulent blood flow.

Mr. G's mitral regurgitation is causing a systolic murmur because his mitral valve has leaks as such when the ventricles would contact, it would push blood up through it into the left atrium. Any murmur is caused by abnormal turbulent blood flow.
