Hey!

Let's write the problem.

0.3\left(n-5\right)=0.4-0.2\left(n-7\right)
Since we don't want any decimals, we will multiply both sides by
10.

0.3\left(n-5\right)\cdot \:10=0.4\cdot \:10-0.2\left(n-7\right)\cdot \:10

3\left(n-5\right)=4-2\left(n-7\right)
Apply the distributive property...

3n-15=-2n+18
Add
15 to both sides...

3n-15+15=-2n+18+15

3n=-2n+33
Add
2n to both sides.

3n+2n=-2n+33+2n

5n=33
Divide both sides by
5...

(5n)/(5)=(33)/(5)
Simplify...

n=(33)/(5)

Thanks!
