a + s = 644
s = a - 56
a + (a - 56) = 644
2a - 56 = 644
2a = 644 + 56
2a = 700
a = 700/2
a = 350 <=== adult tickets
s = a - 56
s = 350 - 56
s = 294 ...student tickets
