Hi!

Question 1.

Okay let's go through each option and see if it could be there or not.

Quadrant IV?
It could not be in quadrant IV because in quadrant IV all of the y values are negative, and all of the x values are positive.

y-axis?
It could not be on the y-axis because on the y-axis all of the x values are 0, and it already said the point is not (0, 0).

Quadrant II?
It could not be in Quadrant II because in quadrant II all of the y values are positive and all of the x values are negative.

Quadrant III?
It could be in Quadrant III because in quadrant III all of the y values are negative and all of the x values are negative.

Quadrant I?
It could be in Quadrant I because in quadrant I all of the y values are positive and all of the x values are positive.

x-axis?
It could not be on the x-axis because on the x-axis all of the y values are 0, and it already said the point is not (0, 0).

So the answer to question 1. is Quadrant I and Quadrant III.

Question 2.

Look at point (5, 0) on the graph. Now draw an imaginary vertical line on that point, that goes all the way to the top and bottom. Are there any blue points on the line?

Yes. Point (5, -5) is on the imaginary line. Which means that 5 yards were lost.

The answer to question 2. is 5 yards were lost.

Question 3.

Look at the distance from the cafeteria and the library. Count how many point are separating them (1 - (-7), or 1 + 7).

There are 8 points separating them.

8/2 = 4

Find the point that is 4 to the left of the library, or 4 to the right of the cafeteria.

The point is (-3, 9)

The answer to question 3. is (-3, 9).

Hope this helps! :)
