Solution:-

We know,

\dag Surface area of a sphere is 4πr².

Now,

Diameter (d) of a sphere = 74 mm.

So, Radius (r) of a sphere = 74/2 = 37 mm.

Hence,

Surface area of a sphere = 4 × 3.14 × (37)²

Surface area of a sphere = 4 × 3.14 × 37 × 37

Surface area of a sphere = 17,194.64 sq. mm.

The surface area of the figure above is 17,194.64 sq. mm. [Answer]

surface area = 4*PI*r^2

r=diameter/2 = 74/2 = 37

using 3.14 for pi

4*3.14*37^2= 17,197.64 cubic mm
