40x+16= 72x-56 (2x-1)-40
40x +16= -40x + 56 - 40
40x+ 16 = -40x + 16
40x = -40x
40x + 40x= 0
80x=0
Divide both sides by 80.. the answer remain 0.
Hopefully this helps ;)
