A parallelogram, by definition, is a regular quadrilateral with two pairs of equal parallel sides. It also follows that the two opposite angles and opposite sides are equal. Adjacent angles are supplementary, that is, they add up to 180°. So, if angle D is 85°, then its adjacent angle C would be equal to 180-85 = 95°.
