The equation is a third-degree polynomial. The only way to know its trend is to graph it. 'F(x)' means a function of x. This could be any variable (suppose it's y). Assign values for x, you get their corresponding values of y, then plot x against y. The graph is shown in the picture. As you can observe, the answer should be letter D.
