Emotional instability, lack of self-regulation, and poor problem solving skills are commonly associated with intimate partner violence (IPV). IPV includes physical violence, sexual violence and psychological violence by an intimate partner. The abusers have serious personality disorders. They are emotional instable and have problems with self-regulation and self control.
