For the parent function y equals the square root of x what effect does a value of b = -2 have on the graph?

The parent function has the equation
y = ∛x
and it's family of equations with different shifting is
y - k = ∛ (x - b)
if we have b = -2
Then the function would shift to the positive x direction since the function would be
y - k = ∛ (x + 2)
