(1)/(3) , 0 , 1, -2.....

If it is arithmetic then the difference between two terms should be a constant

Lets find the difference between two terms

0 -
0 - (1)/(3) = -(1)/(3)

1 - 0 = 1

-2 -1 = -3

the difference is not a constant so it is not arithmetic.

If it is Geometric then the ratio between two terms should be same


(0)/((1)/(3)) =0

1 divide by 0 is undefined

-2 divide by 1 = -2

the ratio is also not same. So it is not Geometric

The sequence is neither arithmetic nor geometric

neither; 7, -20, 61
