The Great Barrier Reef, being the largest reef in the world holds many benificial factors including providing natural resources like food and drugs, it holds massive species diversity anongst a small area, and is a source of nitrogen for marine chains.
The reef is constantly being put in danger due to global warming and poor management- The Australian Government has already contributed 40 mil to the cause of keeping the reef in standardized conditions.
