y = -2x^2 - 8x - 15 x = -b/2a
-(-8)/2(-2)
8/-4 = -2
y = -2(-2)^2 - 8(-2) - 15
y = -2(4) + (16) - 15
-8 + 16 -15
8 - 15 = -7
vertex: ( -2, -7)

y=-2x^2-8x-15 \\ a=-2; \ b=-8; \ c=-15 \\ \\ x= (-b)/(2a)= (-(-8))/(2*(-2)) = (8)/(-4) =-2 \\ \\ y=-2x^2-8x-15 =-2(-2)^2-8(-2)-15 =-8+16-15=-7

Answer: (-2, -7)
