y = 2x - 10
y = 4x - 8
2x - 10 = 4x - 8
2x - 4x = -8 + 10
-2x = 2
x = -2/2
x = -1
y = 4x - 8
y = 4(-1) - 8
y = -4 - 8
y = -12
solution is (-1,-12)
