This is a simple equation! :)

First we know that y = 2 So lets plug that in for y in the equation.

(Remember: our main goal is to get x alone)

2 = 4x - 10 (First add 10 to both sides.)

+10 = +10 ( the right side cancels out, and we solve on the left)

12 = 4x (now divide both sides by 4 to get x to be alone.)

÷ 4 = ÷ 4 (now the right side cancels out and we solve on the left)

3 = x

So our final answer is x = 3

Good Luck! :)
