In RST, RS = 15, RT = 12, and ST = 17. Which angle of RST has the smallest measure?

Answer: The ∠RST in triangle RST has the smallest measurement.

Explanation:

In any triangle, the angle that has the maximum opposite side is the largest angle of that triangle.

Here, RST is a triangle in which,

RS = 15, RT = 12, and ST = 17.

Since, 17 > 15 > 12

⇒ ST > RS > RT

Thus, by the above property of triangle,

m ∠SRT > m ∠RTS > m ∠RST

Where, ST, RS and RT are opposite sides of ∠SRT, ∠RTS and ∠RST respectively.

Hence, ∠RST is the smallest angle in the triangle.
