Simply write out the probability of each.
Total coins: 4 + 4 + 5 + 3= 16
Pennies probability= 4/16
Nickels probability= 4/16
Dimes probability= 5/16
Quarters probability= 3/16
Now we just have to subtract the 3/16 probability of drawing a quarter from the whole, which is 16-3, or 13.
The probability of drawing and it not being quarter is 13/16.

Well all of the coins total to 16. There are 3 quarters so you do 16-3=13. Then divide that by the total number of coins found earlier.
Answer=
13
