Start by distributing the 3:
(3)(x)+(3)(−2)=22-x

Now we have:
3x−6=−x+22

Add x to both sides:
Add x to both sides.
3x−6+x=−x+22+x

Now we have:
4x−6=22
Add 6 to both sides:

Add x to both sides.
3x−6+x=−x+22+x

4x−6+6=22+6

Now we have
4x=28

Divide both sides by 4
x=7

One solution
