Answer-

The area of the sector not shaded is
120\pi

Solution-

Here,

The angle of the sector = Θ = 60°

Radius of the circle = 12

Then area of the circle will be,

\text{Area}=\pi * \text{Radius}^2

Putting the values,

\text{Area}=\pi * 12^2=144\pi

We also know that, the area of sector is,

\text{Area of the sector}=(\theta)/(360^(\circ))* \text{Area of the circle}

where, angle of the sector is measured in degrees.

Putting the values,

\text{Area of the sector}=(60^(\circ))/(360^(\circ))* 144\pi\\\\=(1)/(6)* 144\pi\\\\=24\pi

Therefore, the area of the sector not shaded = 144π-24π = 120π
