The Caucus is the meeting of party members called to choose a nominee through debate. In the Caucus, the members choose a nominee either to get a resolution passed or a candidate for election ( President or Governor of a state ). So before fighting an election a candidate has to get nominated by Caucus. The Caucus at times nominates delegations for conventions as well.
