the x intercepts are where the line crosses the x axis or where y=0
so
y=0=x^2+7x+12
0=x^2+7x+12
factor
what 2 numbres mulitply to get 12 and add to get 7?
3 and 4
0=(x+3)(x+4)
set each to zero because of zero product property

0=x+3
minus 3
-3=x

0=x+4
minus 4
-4=x

the x intercept are at x=-4 and x=-3 or the points (-4,0) and (-3,0)

hello :
the x-intercepts of the graph of y = x2 + 7x + 12 when : y=0
x²+7x+12=0
delta= b²-4ac a= 1 b=7 c= 12
delta = (7)²-4(1)(12) =1 =1²
x1 = (-7 -1)/2 = -4
x2 = (-7+1)/2 = -3
the x-intercepts of the graph of y = x2 + 7x + 12 : -4 and -3
