Direct characterization is a method of revealing information about character by telling the reader.
Direct characterization is understood as the manner an author or another character in a story describes or reveals a character, by using descriptive adjectives, epithets, or phrases. To put it simply, direct characterization occurs when a writer reveals traits of a character in a straightforward way, or through comments made by another character.
